Ready to Dance? (FAQ'S)

Do I need any dance experience?

Prior tap experience is required for this class.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in - leggings, track pants, shorts, t-shirts, or singlets. You can start with runners/sneakers, and can purchase tap shoes later on.

What should I bring?

A water bottle, comfortable clothes, and a small towel if you need it. Most importantly - bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new!

What style of tap do you teach?

Our tap classes explore both Broadway Tap and Rhythm Tap. Broadway Tap focuses on musicality and performance, while Rhythm Tap strengthens technique, timing, and sound quality. Through out the year you will be taught choreography that explores both of these genres.

What if I’m feeling nervous about starting?

That’s completely normal! Our studio is known for being warm, friendly, and welcoming. You’re encouraged to ask questions, take breaks and go at your own pace. Most students feel much more confident after their very first class!

Can I join at any time?

We run classes on a term basis (10 weeks), with bookings required in advance. This helps keep the group consistent and supports your progress week-to-week.
