How many times have you watched JLo & Shakira's performance at the Super Bowl? I have already watched it 5 times - if you haven't I would suggest you watch it right after reading this blog!
The singing, the dancing, the costumes, the music remixes...It was everything you would expect from JLo and MORE! But how does she do it?

Aside from the fact that she has an incredible team surrounding her made up of; personal trainers, choreographers, producers, costume designers, make-up and hair artists (just to name a few)...It's all about JLo's commitment and consistency. Nobody ever becomes a master of something overnight. It's a combo of; commit, hustle and SLAY!
JLo has persevered with many different projects over the years from acting, singing, and dancing to luxury fashion, and cosmetic products. In all of these projects, she has never half committed to any of them, she goes hard. Even at the age of 50, she pushed herself to learn and master how to pole dance for her role in Hustlers!
In this interview with GQ Jennifer Lopez stays “I’ve never been motivated by money. I’ve always been motivated by - I wanna be a great actress; I wanna be a great singer, a great dancer. I wanna make movies; I wanna make music. And the money came along with that”.
It comes from a commitment to yourself to be the best you can possibly be! In dance and choreography, I tell my students that a dance movement is only as good as the commitment of the dancer. A choreographer can tell a dancer to raise their right hand - however, it's the commitment from the dancer to put their everything into that movement to the next - that makes the choreography go from mediocre to Super Bowl half-time show!
So the question is...What are you doing to GET RIGHT?
Here are my tips to slay like JLo which you can apply to any area of your life;
✓ Commit and be consistent in doing the tasks that will help you achieve your goals
✓ Reflect on what you learned from your experience and how you can improve for next time
✓ Challenge yourself by jumping into new ventures
✓ Explore your self, expand your networks and be open to new opportunities
No one expects you to become a master straight away, it takes commitment and consistency. If JLo can learn how to pole dance at the age of 50, isn't that motivation enough to challenge yourself to try that thing you have been wanting to do?
